ROBBIE SHARES ANOTHER INTIMATE MOMENT WITH THE WORLD
Limp sales of his latest album have left Robbie Williams roaming the globe in desperate search of publicity. Yesterday he popped up in Sydney to appear on the Kyle and Jackie O show, where he decided to share one of the most intimate moments of his life with the world and proposed to girlfriend Ayda Field live on air. That’s one way to grab headlines! Like any money grabbing fame whore doting girlfriend Ayda accepted his proposal without hesitation and the two sealed their engagement by borrowing a ‘Frog’ ring from the show’s presenter.
Just to make sure the proposal made headlines in the UK, his most important market, Robbie then got his mother in on the act, who phoned in to the BBC’s Radio 5 Live to confirm the engagement was not a joke. Funny then that his spokesman later issued a statement to say it was a joke.
Either way, he got the attention he so craves. Job done.
PIPPED AT THE POST
Following his humiliating defeat to JLS in this week’s UK album chart battle, Robbie Williams maintains that chart positions aren’t important and all that matters is what his fans think.
We wholeheartedly believe him.
There’s no way he was desperate to be number 1. Just like he didn’t have the album reduced to half price in some stores, wasn’t offering free delivery through certain internet retailers and didn’t have his record company making frantic calls to supermarkets all week begging for more prominent shelf space.

ROBBIE JOINS TAKE THAT ON STAGE
Robbie Williams joined his former bandmates Take That on stage last night for the first time in over 15 years. Robbie and his former band were both performing at the Children in Need Rocks the Albert Hall charity event in London – though they stopped short of actually performing together.
We’d love to believe that Robbie was delighted to be back on stage with his former bandmates, but if that were the case wouldn’t he have obliged them with a duet? Call us old and cynical, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this was a publicity stunt staged by ego-maniac Robbie to improve his chances of regaining the lead from nobodies JLS in this week’s album chart battle.
Meanwhile, in other disturbing news, we’re hearing that Cheryl Cole duetted with one of Britain’s most credible rock bands, Snow Patrol. More to come on that later!

JLS TAKE THE LEAD!
The suits at EMI records must be getting nervous as it was revealed today that X Factor wannabes JLS have overtaken Robbie in the battle for this week’s number 1 album. Robbie has clearly fallen a long way from his peak, when he would easily have outsold newcomers like JLS by at least 3 to 1.
Our sources tell us that there’s only about 2,000 albums difference (less than 3% of the total) and so the race is far from over – watch this space for continued updates.

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DESPERATE CELEB
Things really aren’t going well for the UK’s biggest male star, Robbie Williams. His strange behaviour and odd performance of new single Bodies on the X-Factor was slated by critics and fans alike, then he subsequently cancelled his performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin on Thursday night. His appearance on the Jonathan Ross show on Friday night confirmed that he’d lost his mojo, with a performance of dreadful new song You Know Me followed by a lackluster rendition of his classic Feel.
At RumerMills we would never condone drug use, but Robbie Williams was definitely a much better performer when he was on them! Getting sober doesn’t seem to have been a great career move…
While on the show Robbie confirmed that he has been doing “bits and bobs” with his former band Take That and hoped to rejoin them in the near future. My how the tables have turned! It wasn’t so long ago that Robbie was taking every opportunity to slag off his former band mates and loved lording his solo success over them as their careers dwindled. But since reforming in 2005, Take That have enjoyed even more success than in their 90’s heyday, selling more than 2 million copies of their latest album in the UK alone and playing to over 80,000 fans a night in London’s Wembley Stadium. This seems to have caught Robbie’s attention and now with his own fame dwindling, he’s suddenly VERY open to working with them.
We think Take That work well as a foursome and a return by Robbie would ruin the dynamic of the band. If we were them it would be a firm “thanks but no thanks” to Robbie – followed by a slammed door in his arrogant, tired-looking face!
Check out some of the highlights from Jonathan Ross below.
