X FACTOR PR MACHINE SPINS OUT OF CONTROL
Have the X Factor publicists been sniffing glue?
This week they revealed that Joe McElderry is set to become the new Zac Efron, saying:
“Having a cute English guy take on the mantle is every US producer’s dream because the English accent is seen as a real draw.”
We’d possibly buy this if Joe spoke like, say, Prince William, but we’re not so sure that US movie producer’s will be quite so drawn to Joe’s thick Geordie accent bearing in mind it’s barely understood in London let alone Los Angeles!
Speaking of Joe, the cheesy video for his awful cover of The Climb was unveiled yesterday (the more we hear his version of the song the worse it gets). The good thing about it is that it highlights what an absolute superstar Miley Cyrus is, with her infinitely better version. See what we mean below.

X FACTOR WINNER’S SINGLE REVEALED
Sources have revealed that after weeks of speculation Simon Cowell has selected The Climb as the winner’s single for this year’s X Factor. Great song choice, but we’re a bit disappointed as for us this song will always be about Miley. The X Factor version can only ever be a cheap imitation.
This will be the second time Simon has chosen a little known (in the UK) American song as the winner’s single – in 2006 Leona Lewis released A Moment Like This, previously a no. 1 hit in the US for Kelly Clarkson – although in that instance Leona’s version blew Kelly’s out of the water. Judge for yourself below in this clever YouTube mash up.

AND NO, WE DON’T MEAN A SEX TAPE
Check out the trailer for Miley Cyrus’ crossover movie, The Last Song. It looks to us like a fairly run of the mill teen drama, though Miley seems to hold her own as a proper actress.
What do you think? Comment above.

CHILD STARS MOST LIKELY TO BE SAGITTARIANS
A new study has shown that child stars are most likely to be born under the star sign Sagittarius, and has used the examples of Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears to illustrate the point. While it is quite spooky that 4 of the biggest child stars of our time are all Sagittarians, these examples make us question whether there’s a more important point to be taken from this study. Are Sagittarians also the most likely to be insane!?
Read more about the study here.
Samantha Jones picks Miley’s brain
There aren’t many people alive with more notches on their bed post than Samantha Jones, but we hear she’s recently met her match. The stomach churning adorable Miley Cyrus will be starring alongside her in the new Sex and the City movie. Rumour has it that Miley will have a short cameo role in which she shows up to the same event wearing the exact same outfit as Samantha – it’s trashy vs. classy!
Talking about Miley, while she may be one of the most annoying cretins walking the Earth we’ve got to take our hats off to her amazing new song and video – we’re absolutely loving Party in the USA, in fact we love it so much it’s just become our new ringtone…
