LIVVI FRANC – AUTOMATIK

YouTube Preview Image

We can’t get enough of this new track by new English-Barbadian Rihanna rip-off pop-star Livvi Franc.

Needless to say it was produced by Lady Gaga super-producer RedOne, and while it has his distinctive sound it’s enough of a departure from Gaga to sound fresh.

Best served at maximum volume – crank it up!

HELP FOR HAITI?

YouTube Preview Image

We are the World 25 in one word? HORRIFIC!

So bad it almost made us put our credit card back in our wallet. This is one type of aid the devastated people of Haiti can certainly do without.

Never before has a music video managed to get SO progressively worse with every second. And what on EARTH is that noise Wyclef Jean is making?

And to think they call Britney Spears insane – at least she had the good sense not to embarrass herself by appearing in this mess! One You Tube user put it best- “I’d rather just read the lyrics than watch this sh*t”.

As for Michael Jackson – ENOUGH ALREADY!

CHERYL COLE’S NEW VIDEO FOR THIRD SINGLE PARACHUTE

YouTube Preview Image

Cheryl Cole’s video for Parachute has dropped in the same week as she’s fighting the toughest battle of her career against (would you believe it!) a sausage roll, and we’ve got to hand it to her – it’s hot!

She looks stunning and shows off some well choreographed dance routines amongst a pack of steamy male dancers. The ’sausage roll’ Facebook campaign has seen her image take a battering this week and she had to bring something special out of the bag to counteract it. In this video she makes a convincing pop star and it can only help get her career back on track.

So the latest round goes to Cheryl – we wait with baited breath for the sausage roll’s next move!

Check out the video above.

RATM CONTINUE TO OUTSELL JOE MCELDERRY

YouTube Preview Image

Today’s UK midweeks confirmed that Rage Against the Machine’s Killing in the Name Of remains ahead of Joe McElderry’s boring cover of The Climb in the race for the UK Xmas number 1, having sold 253,000 copies to Joe’s 210,000. Insiders tell us that Simon Cowell is absolutely seething at the possibility of his 5 year dominance of the Xmas charts coming to an end.

One music fan is so passionate about the cause they’ve even created a hilarious music video for KITNO using the X Factor finalists – check it out above!

CHERYL COLE’S NEW VIDEO

YouTube Preview Image

We’re quite liking the new song and video from Cheryl Cole, although we’re not sure about the odd hair styles or the blue skin look towards the end (borrowed from band-mate Nicola?). But overall a good effort and she’s starting to look believable as a pop-star, which isn’t bad after only 8 years practice.

The song is very good but not great, sort of like an album track from Madonna’s Confessions on a Dancefloor. Cheryl has a massive fan-base at the moment and we’re sure it will do well, but it’s no Fight for this Love.

Not sure that the split screen effect was part of the original video plot though – looks to us like Will.I.Am couldn’t be bothered showing up for the shoot at the same time as Cheryl!

J-LO’s NEW VIDEO

YouTube Preview Image

We’re having very mixed feelings about the video for J-Lo’s new song Fresh out the Oven ft. Pitbull. “Fresh” isn’t the first word that springs to mind when we think about the 39 year old mother of two. We’re also not sure how her twins Max and Emme will feel about their mother getting dressed up like a Hollywood Blvd hooker and grinding her wares for all to see.

That said, she looks like she’s in fantastic shape and the song is reasonably catchy after a few listens. If she plays this one the right way, say for example with a blinding performance at the American Music Awards or the X Factor, then we just might get on board…

What is extremely weird about this one is that we’re hearing from her management that this is not in fact J-Lo, but instead her alter ego “Lola”. Yawn. The Beyonce / Sasha Fierce thing was fun in the beginning but is getting increasingly annoying. We certainly don’t need more of the same from J-Lo…

BEYONCE RETURNS THE FAVOUR

YouTube Preview Image

After getting together to release the worst song of the decade, Video Phone, Beyonce and Lady Gaga have duetted on another song, Telephone, which is set to be the second single from Lady Gaga’s forthcoming album.

Telephone is OK, but not up to Lady G’s usual standard – though it is certainly much better than the DREADFUL Video Phone.

WE LOVE THIS!

YouTube Preview Image

The new Lady Gaga video for Bad Romance has finally arrived and we have to say we love it. As we’ve come to expect from Gaga it’s fairly bizarre and we have no idea what’s going on in it, but the costumes are fabulous and the dance routines are hot – what more could we wish for!

Check it out above.

ADAM LAMBERT’S NEW VIDEO

YouTube Preview Image

Check out Adam Lambert’s new video for Time for Miracles, the official song from this year’s blockbuster movie 2012.

It’s a good song, his voice sounds great and the video is everything you’d expect from a movie theme song. Overall – not a bad start to his career.

BLAIR WALDORF TURNS PORN STAR

YouTube Preview Image

We quite like the new Leighton Meester song Somebody to Love and would love her to do well, but this softcore porn video is all a bit desperate – as well as being a complete rip of of Madonna’s video for Justify My Love, which is almost 20 years old (yep we couldn’t believe it was that long ago either!)

Then there’s the murmurs of “strike a pose” – like we haven’t heard that one before.

It’s great that she’s paying a nod to Madonna, but for her first video to be such a rip-off is disappointing. If she wants to be taken seriously as a Pop Star then she needs to get some originality quick smart!

Blair Waldorf would never let this happen!

VIDEO FOR BRITNEY’S ”3″ PREMIERES TODAY

YouTube Preview Image

We absolutely love Britney’s banging new track “3″ and think that after shooting straight to the top of the US Billboard Chart it will now surely be a massive worldwide hit. Particularly in the UK, where she really needs a hit considering the poor chart performance of her singles from the amazing Circus album.

Check out the sneek peak of the video above – can’t wait for the full thing!

UPDATE: You can now see the full video here – we LOVE it. Britney looks HOT HOT HOT.

NEW SINGLE – PAPILLON

YouTube Preview Image

The Editors are back with their new album In This Light and On This Evening and we absolutely love the lead single Papillon. The album entered the UK charts at no. 1 and has also reached the top 10 in several other European territories. The Editors have yet to crack the US, but with this song and album we think they stand their best chance yet.

Buy Papillon from iTunes.

TRIP DOWN VICTORIA’S MEMORY LANE
YouTube Preview Image

Every day we’re bombarded with countless pictures of Posh the fashionista, Posh the socialite, Posh the hardworking mum… and so it’s sometimes easy to forget her career lowpoints. One of our favourites is This Groove, released in 2003 in a desperate attempt to salvage Victoria’s dying solo career by Telstar records, which at the time was teetering on the verge of bankruptcy after putting all of their eggs in one basket and paying a reported $1.5m advance to Mrs. Beckham. We remember being delighted to see that there really wasn’t anything she wasn’t willing to do in the name of fame and fortune, and in this video was convinced to strip to some revealing nightwear and pleasure herself in a musty old hotel room. Go Posh!

For those of you who missed this first time round, enjoy!
