OPRAH CANCELS TALK SHOW

Mariah Carey at PRECIOUS Premiere in Hollywood presented by AFI Fest

Perez Hilton is reporting that Oprah will announce on Friday that she will be cancelling her talk show on September 9th 2011 after 25 years on the air. Although the show lost all relevance at least 5 years ago, we still enjoyed dipping in and out of Oprah from time to time and will be sad to see her go.

Oh wait, does that say 2011!? Talk about dragging it out, only Oprah could get this much drama and attention out of something that’s 2 years away. Is this actually a ploy to revive her flailing ratings? Naughty Oprah!

(Force a) Smile for the camera!

We smell a desperate ego-maniac!

Oprah’s ratings appear to have dived so much that she has resorted to having her best frenemy Ellen Degeneres on the front cover of Oprah magazine. This is only the second time that anyone other than Oprah has appeared on the cover – prior to Ellen only Michelle Obama had had the honour.

We have to congratulate Oprah on taking time out from swallowing cakes to instead swallow her pride and getting Ellen on board to help win back her audience.

Kind of ironic given that Ellen is the very woman that stole the viewers in the first place!
