SARANDON AND ROBBINS ANNOUNCE SPLIT

At 51 years old it seems that Tim Robbins may have gotten a bit too long in the tooth for screen legend Susan Sarandon, 63, and this week the pair announced their separation after 23 years together. Although they never married their relationship was one of the longest in Hollywood history.

Speculation as to the cause of the split is rife, and Gawker suggests that it may be down to Susan getting her Cougar claws into a new toy-boy – step forward New York socialite and Ping Pong nerd, Jonathan Bricklin. Sarandon met Jonathan, aged 31, at one of his famous ‘Naked Ping Pong’ parties in 2007 and the two became friends over a shared love of the game. She later became an investor in his Ping Pong club, SPiN, opened in Manhattan’s Flatiron district in 2009.

We appreciate that every Cougar needs fresh meat from time to time, but Bricklin isn’t exactly in the Ashton Kutcher or Jesus Luz league. In fact this guy is an out and out geek, pictured below in 2007 playing Ping Pong while waiting in line for the release of the iPhone. The word LOSER springs to mind.

So far Sarandon’s publicist has denied the relationship, which we hope is the truth. While Susan may be 63 years old, she’s in fantastic shape and could do MUCH better than Bricklin.
