X FACTOR WINNER’S SINGLE REVEALED
Sources have revealed that after weeks of speculation Simon Cowell has selected The Climb as the winner’s single for this year’s X Factor. Great song choice, but we’re a bit disappointed as for us this song will always be about Miley. The X Factor version can only ever be a cheap imitation.
This will be the second time Simon has chosen a little known (in the UK) American song as the winner’s single – in 2006 Leona Lewis released A Moment Like This, previously a no. 1 hit in the US for Kelly Clarkson – although in that instance Leona’s version blew Kelly’s out of the water. Judge for yourself below in this clever YouTube mash up.

John and Edward get our vote
In all likelihood they are direct descendants of Satan himself, but we absolutely love John and Edward. Their performance on last night’s X Factor has to be the most entertaining moment of Simon Cowell’s TV career.
The X Factor is in its 6th season in the UK and in many ways we’re starting to get bored with watching one slightly-more -talented-than-average desperado after another come on stage to warble through the same old songs. They may be tone deaf and totally unable to dance in a time to each other or the music, but John and Edward are more original and entertaining than anything else on this year’s X Factor.
Big respect to Simon Cowell though, it takes some amount of cheek to send these talentless brats into a room for tuition from music legends Whitney Houston and Clive Davis (presumably busy people with much better things to do).
